Elite Linguists was incorporated as a Community Interest Company on 4th November 2009, marking the beginning of a new era.

Jeanice and Monica previously owned a small company called Highland Interpreting and Translating Services which operated in the Highlands and Moray areas. They made a conscious decision some time ago to change their business into a social enterprise as their preferred business model and had been working towards this goal. Along the way, they welcomed Pui Ling, a like-minded fellow working interpreter, to the team.

As a non-profit distributing social enterprise, we also joined the STICS Forum as a member. The STICS Forum meets every two months and consists of members from public and third sector interpreting service providers and local authority service users. We work together to share good practice and information, and to address common issues in public service interpreting. To find out more about the STICS Forum, go to www.stics.org.uk.
